I had a delightful stay at Cascades Lakefront Motel. The location was superb, right by the lake. My unit was clean and comfortable, with lovely decor, and I especially enjoyed the outdoor BBQ area for evening meals while taking in the stunning views.

Staying here while exploring the nearby Maori Rock Carvings was a delight. I loved having such easy access to the lake from my unit, just a few steps away. The spacious Standard Family Unit made it perfect for our family, allowing us to enjoy our meals outside while taking in the lake views. Another highlight was the close proximity to the sailing club, where we had a great time grabbing drinks and pizza in the evening.

Warm hospitality by the lake

We arrived to a clean, airy room with lovely decor, right on the lakefront. The heated pool was a delightful spot for evening dips, and local recommendations were a true bonus.

While the cooking facilities were somewhat limited, it didn't hinder our stay. The noise from other guests was occasionally disruptive, particularly in the mornings.

The ground floor studio was spacious, allowing ample room for lounging and dining. We particularly enjoyed the proximity to the lake, as it provided breathtaking views that made our mornings delightful. The manageable access to the bike trails along the lakefront was a nice touch, adding to the adventure of our stay.

However, the pool was slightly cooler than expected.

Enjoyed a delightful getaway with beautiful lake views and a cozy, private courtyard equipped with a BBQ. The comfortable new bed ensured a restful night. Don’t miss the nearby cafe—perfect for breakfast. Just be mindful of possible noise from upper rooms if you choose a downstairs unit.

Cascades Lakefront Motel provided an incredible space for our family with a large room featuring a kitchenette and a stunning courtyard right next to the lake. We loved the access to both the heated swimming pool and the local cafes for breakfast. The hosts even helped us arrange bike rentals to explore the area!

The family loft was super clean and had nice air conditioning. We had a good space with a comfy main bedroom. The bathroom was generous in size, making it easy for everyone to get ready. The floor might squeak a bit, but it was cozy overall. Loved the outdoor area for barbecue and the easy access to the lake for walking.

The Large Family Unit was spacious and had a comfy layout for us. We loved the kiddie pool and access to the lake for easy beach trips! The staff made sure we had everything we needed and even moved us to a quieter room without any hassle. Only downside was some nighttime noise but overall, it was a solid stay with great family-friendly features.

The kids had a blast with the spacious layout we had, it was perfect for enjoying family meals outside while looking out at the lake. The lady at reception went out of her way to help us arrange parking for our small boat, which was a sweet touch.

It wasn’t exactly a bargain, but honestly, the comfort made it worth it.

We had an amazing stay for 1 night in the Family Unit with Lake View! The kids absolutely loved the pool and the nearby walking path along the lake. The spacious two-story unit felt just like home, and we really appreciated the helpful management. Wish we could've stayed longer to soak up more of that beautiful lakeside atmosphere!

In my wife’s opinion, the steep stairs were a bit tricky for our youngest.
